the boo artists' refuge

by D&M Art Projects

D&M Art Projects have been busy over the past few years developing 'The Boo Artists’ Refuge.' The Boo Artists' Refuge is an artist designed permaculture smallholding nestled in the rural village of Boolarra in the foothill of the Strzelecki Ranges, West Gippsland.

In light of the requirements for distance between us due to COVID19, The BOO has potential to safely accommodate artists who can brave rustic conditions and are in need of respite from their usual surrounds.

T-BAR offers basic but welcoming accommodation during our warmer seasons - either glamping or in our beautiful glampervans. Too see more of T-BAR please visit our Boo Gallery page.

Nearby there is much to explore - rivers, waterfalls, rail trail, a local folk festival & countless other attractions - but most of all - The Boo offers peace and quiet.

A large Community Hall is within short walking distance for those wishing to do some creative development for performance (we are currently in process of seeking funds to establish studio spaces on site).

Gilbert Douglas & Margie Mackay invite you to find some respite in our rural home - a refuge from the madness. Our attitude: relational, respectful & reciprocal.
