The Boo Artists' Refuge - Gallery
In late 2016 D&M moved from the hustle of central Melbourne to rural Victoria with their two teenage daughters Nyaradzo and Thelma. Together they are navigating art and life as a transnational family - putting down firm roots at ‘The Boo’ - their home in Boolarra, Latrobe Valley.
‘The Boo Artists’ Refuge’ is Gilbert and Margie’s shared vision & they have been busy creating a permacultural haven to share with others.
This site & land based work has been made in response to the escalating planetary climate emergency and will offer beauty, sustenance & refuge to urban artists, in time becoming a hub for performing & ceremonial arts & artists in their region.
