Conference of the Birds is a community-based art walk inspired by the artistic talents, resilience & community spirit of the people of the Latrobe Valley & South Gippsland. Conference of the Birds takes place along 2.6km of the Grandridge Rail Trail from Centenary Park, Boolarra to a beautiful open space called The Meadows.
The audience's journey begins with First Nations' ceremony, after which the audience set off on the rail trail towards The Meadows for music, dance, story & a bonfire. On the way they pass 7 different art installations & performances by local artists & community groups.
At the Meadows there will be a firey finale to Conference of the Birds with a bonfire & music.
Food trucks will sell warm food & drinks at The Meadows. Walkers should rug up well, bring a torch & something to sit on.

The Rail Trail is suitable for wheel chairs & mobility scooters
A shuttle Bus will be available for people with mobility
& access needs - registrations are essential.
